Thinking trap quiz

What’s going on:

If you overgeneralise you take one bad thing and you assume that everything will be awful after that. 

Overcome this trap by removing terms such as “always,” “never,” “everybody” and “nobody,” and look for any exceptions to the statement.

Example:

That maths test was horrible. I am terrible at maths.

Replace with:

I am probably overgeneralising, I understand some bits of the maths and I will ask for some help on the questions I got wrong.
