Thinking trap quiz

What’s going on:

This thinking trap is a little bit like catastrophising, but it’s more exaggerating the possibility of something bad happening, rather than completely believing it will happen.

Example:

If I have another panic attack I’m going to have a heart attack and die!

Replace with:

The way to deal with this is the same as for catastrophising which is to realise that the situation is extremely unlikely to happen. More importantly, if it did happen, you would find a way to cope or deal with it.
