Black and white thinking

Thinking trap quiz

What’s going on:

Black and white thinking is very similar to the All Or Nothing Thinking Trap, it is thinking in extremes. Black or white. Really good or really bad; and not seeing all the possible outcomes in-between (or the “grey”)

Example:

One friend gets angry at you » “Nobody likes me, I’m totally unlovable and selfish.”

Replace with:

Everyone is not angry with you all the time. Remember the name of another person you spoke to without anyone getting angry.
